CATIA Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE): A Design and Outsourcing Case Stud
CCE helped the world’s leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of material handling systems, with key products include hoists, actuators, cranes, lifting and rigging tools and more, design new products and conduct several Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) activities.
Our goal was to work in collaboration with the client’s team on multiple product design activities like 3D Modeling, Legacy conversion, FEA, Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) using SolidWorks.
Work HighLights
- Created parametric SolidWorks models.
- Electrical components including transformer and contactor board sub-assembly, Detailed drawings with Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Identified high stress zones by doing FEA and redesigned parts accordingly.
- De-featured, high level assemblies help in plant layout preparation and to do interference analysis.
- Based on new design parts, 3D models, assemblies and final drawings were released.
